CCP | Chinese Communist Party. Also called the Communist Party of China (CPC). It is the sole governing authority in the People's Republic of China (PRC), and has made the PRC a party state. |
DoD | American Department of Defense. The Federal executive department tasked with supervising the United States Armed Force (USAF), and coordinating federal functions related to national security. |

ENDF | Ethiopian National Defense Force. It is the Federal military force of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia that is overseen the Ministry of Defense |
EU | European Union. A supranational administrative entity that brings together 27 European countries to pursue shared economic and political goals. |
GoE | Government of Ethiopia that rules the Federal Parliamentary Republic of Ethiopia. Its powers, authority, and legitimacy are derived from the Constitution of Ethiopia, whose latest iteration is the 1995 Constitution. |
GoK | Government of Kenya.It rules the Republic of Kenya; and its powers, authority, and legitimacy are derived from the Constitution of Kenya. |
GUK | Government of the United Kingdom. Also called Her Majesty's Government (HMG). It is the Central government with a Constitutional Monarch that governs the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Its powers and legitimacy are derived from the Constitution of the United Kingdom. |

KDF | Kenya Defence Forces.The national military forces of Kenya. |
NIS | National Intelligence Service of the Republic of Kenya. It is the Intelligence Agency tasked with conducting domestic and foreign intelligence operations; and some of their findings and analyses are used by GoK to to formulate, execute, or promote existing foreign policies and national security interests. |
OECD | Abbreviation of Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development - a supranational organization with 38 members states that are considered as developed nations with high human development index. OECD seeks to promote market economy and democratic governance. |
PLA | People's Liberation Army. It is the armed forces of the PRC (see entry on PRC). |

SCO | Abbreviation for the Shanghai Cooperation Council, a Eurasian alliance borne of the Shanghai pact of June 2001. It has 8 member states who seek to jointly pursue shared economic, political, and security goals. |
TPLF | Tigray People's Liberation Front. Also known as the Popular Struggle for the Freedom of Tigray. It is an ethno-nationalist political party with an armed (paramilitary) wing. It advocates for Tigrayan nationalism under the banner of Left-wing Nationalism and Revolutionary Democracy. |
UN | United Nations. A supranational intergovernmental organization that brings together 193 countries and 2 observer nations to pursue shared security goals and promote international cooperation. |

USA | United States of America. A Federal Republic ruled by a Representative Government (see entry on USG). It is the largest English-speaking nation on Earth, and is considered as the sole Global Hyperpower |
USAF | United States Armed Forces. The national military forces of USA (see entry on USA). |
USG | United States Government. The Federal government of the United States of America (USA) whose powers and legitimacy are derived from the Constitution of the United States. |
USIC | United States Intelligence Community. Collective of Federal intelligence agencies that are tasked with conducting intelligence activities that can benefit USG to formulate, execute, or promote existing foreign policies and national security interests. |
